Back!

Hey all. I just got back to Leeds after what was almost a four hour coach trip, and I've just ordered a pizza, so excuse me if this suddenly becomes disjointed when I run down stairs and grab my food!

First of all, my month off has been good. I've very seriously slipped out of the self-preservation habits that I've accumulated over my 6 monthsish of uni so far, but I'm sure I'll pick them up again pretty fast! But it was nice to relax for a while, and not have to think about getting food in or making sure I actually had my cutlery, etc, washed in order to eat! Getting back into the swing is gonna be a bit of a leap!

Second, that coach ride was hell. First of all, I have to wait an hour in the station, cos the next coach along was full, so I waited for my coach, which turned out to be some banger from the 1960s, and had tiny seats, barely big enough for children. When I'd finally crammed my knees into the seats and got sat down, I started to zone out listening to a Penny Arcade podcast, and then suddenly *thump*, *thump*, *thump*, some kid behind me has started to kick my chair, and the parent or grandparent or whatever with him is just going "no... stop that..." in the most feeble voice ever. Eventually, we stopped in Manchester, and that pair got off, only to be followed by a couple with an even younger child. Now, I don't know whether they hadn't bought three tickets, or whatever the situation is with kids on coaches, but there were no allotted seats, so they would have been perfectly able to have one of them sit with the child and the other sit just across the isle from them. Did they do this? Fuck did they. The child spent the entire journey standing on his parents laps, and this left his head at my ear hight, so when he decided that he wanted to spend a full hour screaming, he was screaming right down my ear. I'm sorry, irresponsible stupid parents, your retard-children do not do the funniest things. They're just bloody annoying.
Regardless, after we set off from Manchester, the coach went on for about an hour, and then broke down with the only explination from the drivers being "it's leaking something...". We were then left waiting for thirty minutes for another coach to show up, which was more of a glorified bus, but it thankfully allowed me to position myself away from the screeching kid, and get sat down on my own.

So now, here I am, back at university, ready to relax for the rest of the night and then work like a dog tomorrow. Wa-hey!

Not all that much to say, but I'll post anyways...

Well, since all I'm really doing of late is relaxing at home, I've really not got all that much to post on here about, but still, it's something to do!

I'm giving some serious thought to putting up another blog to comment on the games and gaming I get done; almost reviewing them if you will. I guess some people will wonder why I don't just do that here, but really I think this space is more for me to talk about how I feel and what's going on in my life, as well as keeping those people who're interested in what's going on with me informed on the topic. I think that if I did this other thing it would be a more impersonal venture; a place to post reviews on various games, gaming systems or whatever. It wouldn't anonymous, but it just wouldn't be me talking about what's affecting me, more just me talking about stuff I'm interested in.

Anyways, that's something I've been considering doing with some of my free time, which I'm sure I soon won't have as uni exams are looming.

I really need a copy of adobe photoshop. Well, okay, I say need, I don't need a copy of it, per se. I just really really really want one. You see I had one on my old computer for years, but I no longer have access to that, and I use this (comparatively) new laptop for everything now anyways. But when I used to have it, I used to use it almost reflexively, just for a bit of fun, and I can't do that on this computer. I'm stuck using MS paint, or the editing function on the windows vista picture viewer. I can't resize images or crop them to my liking. I feel like a caveman! However, this is not enough inconvenience for me to want to shell out several hundred pounds for the programme... you know, I need to eat and have a place to live, so I'm afraid photoshop has to come second in the grand scheme of things. So ultimately, I guess, I'm making a plea to people to scour their computer cupboards for me; if you have an old version of photoshop (or hell, a new version would be even better), please let me give it a new home!

Also, I'm gonna get a digital camera and start taking pictures I think. Try and post at least one picture with every blog entry. Of course, this means I have to save the money up to get said camera. I've found one or two for around £100, which is sort of within my price range, but I'm really trying to save money of late. It might have to wait until the summer to be bought when I (hopefully) get a job.

So yeah... I guess this post has turned out to be mostly about what I want! Second blog, photoshop and a camera! No scour the earth my minions and find them! Bwahahahaha!

New blog eh?

Alright, well I've decided to start a new blog. I know it's kind of a redundant concept, since I was originally going to do a post-a-day thing, but clearly, I stopped making a post a day a long time ago. I deleted my old blogs because, while they contained a lot of good memories, they also contained a lot of stuff that I don't want to keep thinking about, and that upset people.
So here I am again, starting anew. I can't guarantee that these blogs will be any cheerier, but I feel that me starting a new section of my life, a new blog is kind of justified!

Anyways, I'm hoping to link my friends and family and stuff to this new one so they have something to read and I have something to post!
